So our house was and is a real fixer upper. The largest project that we have taken on is our kitchen. People have asked for pictures and so now that it is nearly finished I am going to post them. Eddie joe did most of the work last summer before Jayden was walking. So, with that I am posting the process.
This is the kitchen before we moved in. It does not look too bad, but this is all of the counterspace and once we put the $40.00 stove from Re-store in that took up half of the counter space. And there is no room for a dishwasher.
This is the pantry cabinet, it clearly was not able to take the weight of our food supply. This happened about 3 times before Eddie joe put wooden dowells in to fix the problem.

Here Eddie joe has taken most of the cabinets and the sink out, living with out a kitchen is a bummer, it's easy to forget all of the conveniences that we have until they are gone. Fortunately Eddie joe had the big part of the project done within 3 weeks (He's awsome!).

Once all of the old stuff was out there was some plumming to work on as well as electrical outlets and switches to move.

After all of the electrical work and patching Eddie joe put the new cabinets in. The only thing that Eddie joe did not do was put the countertop in. We had 3 corners so we decided the experts could take care of that.

This is what the kitchen looked like with the new cabinets, coutnertop, and applicances. Notice the floor is still old and we are missing a few things. We did get the walls painted though, I like the color but have been told that some others do not, that's ok, it's my kitchen!

A couple of months go we put the tile in. And then in January Eddie joe put the trip around the top and bottom of our cabinets, we also now have trim around our sliding door and a curtain to cover it. We still need new light fixtures and a vent cover, ow and new dining room furniture :), but those things will come later!
Eddie joe did a great job!!!! I helped where I could in between work and caring for Jayden so Eddie joe could work on the kitchen, but he did most of it.

Wow! It looks so awesome! I'm so impressed that EJ did most of it himself. Will does most of our repairs too and we really know about having a fixer-upper. We haven't tackled our kitchen though and I don't know if we ever will. I really like the cabinets, paint, and tile you chose. And you're right, it's your kitchen, you need to be happy in it. Great job and thanks for sharing all the pics!
I love it! It looks awesome. I'm very impressed with everything EJ did! I also really like the paint color. Good choice!
I'm really impressed by Eddie Joe's know-how! How do you learn to do those kind of things? Anyways, it looks beautiful! He did a great job!
