Vienna, Austria

I had the opportunity to go to Austria for a week on a work assignment. Below are some pictures I took, it was a beautiful place with a ton of history. I only wish that I had had time to explore more, all shops closed at 6:00, so that made it difficult to do much shopping, but it was great! It was also the coldest weather they had experienced all year, it was usually approximately 10 degrees farenheight on our way to work. I added the picture above and can't change the order. This picture is from the subway stop on our way to work. It is insteresting because the new and old are so mingled together (the old building right above).

This is an old Chapel called Stephensplats (spelling could be wrong). It was beautiful inside and out.

This is a street that we walked down on our way to dinner, they were so narrow, but all of them were lined with neat little shops.

This is a 300 year old building iwth a modern front on it, apparnetly now it is an apartment building. There were tons of beautiful old buildings around, many of them had huge doors, we assume for carriages at one point?!?

A street view.

We went to the Vienna International Center, were several world organizations are housed. This is a picture of the circle of flags from all of the collaborating countries.

A cool building.

A street view.

Another cool building, they were all over.

A statue of Mozart in the part that we walked through every morning.

Some buildings.

What a great experience! I would love to go back to Europe one day but figure I'm pretty much stuck here for another 16 years or so:). Vienna looks quite a bit like Paris. I guess they both look very European:). Glad you got to go!
