Jayden on the move

Jayden is very active this year, we try to keep up with him :). He found some rollerblades last year at the thrift store. I hid them in the back of his closet, but recently he found them. Jayden and dad made a special trip to Wal-Mart to get the appropriate safety gear. Jayden is also very into his "summer bike", him and Eddie joe put training wheels on it right before the Moab trip. I will post picts. of that later.

Stupid Truck

So we tried to go to Moab on a nice family trip. Unfortunatley right outside of Farmington, NM our transmission blew. We were able to limp into Farmington but then had to had the truck toed the next morning (good thing we didn't turn it off until we got to the hotel). All of our options were pricy, so we picked the cheapest one and bought a new (used) truck. I did NOT want to buy a new truck, but will admit it is very nice. Below Eddie joe is dreaming about this car, he would have rather purchased this one but all of our ummmm (crud) would not fit in it (bikes, coolers, boxes of food, etc.). Also, these pictures are in random order because I could not get them to upload in the right order and can't seem to move them). Jayden and I at the dealership, we didn't get many pictures of the trip because we left the camera in the truck (at the dealership)...
Jayden as we set off for the trip. We were clearly packed in... And I will admit that I am embarassed at how dirty the truck was once we pulled everything out of it, but it's EJ's and not mine, my car is much cleaner.....

The day before we left on the trip EJ and Jayden changed the oil, EJ even put fancy oil in it. Now that oil is all over the road outside of Bloomfield. Jayden clearly LOVES to help dad.

This is the new beast, I actually think the shape is ugly, but it's a very nice truck (nicer than our house :)).

EJ and Jayden changing the oil again.

You must have the right tool for the right job.

Mr. J's Sleeping Choices

Jayden has had some trouble sleeping lately. These are some of the places that I have found him sleeping in. I can't resist taking pictures when he's asleep, he's just so cute. Floor in our bedroom.
He frequently sneaks into our room, honestly we just put him in his bed after he's asleep so I don't worry too much about it.

EJ and Jayden set up a tent in the office one day, so sometimes he sleeps there.

He is also very into making forts in his bedroom. Sometimes it's a boad, today is was a spaceship and we were going to outer space.

Just a mean faced picture.

Home Stuff

For my Birthday, we got an electric fireplace. It looks so nice in our livingroom and makes the room feel much larger. I have been promising pictures of this to my parents, so here you go :). Below is Jayden and one of his creations. He is still very busy and building with anything and everything he can find.

Vienna, Austria

I had the opportunity to go to Austria for a week on a work assignment. Below are some pictures I took, it was a beautiful place with a ton of history. I only wish that I had had time to explore more, all shops closed at 6:00, so that made it difficult to do much shopping, but it was great! It was also the coldest weather they had experienced all year, it was usually approximately 10 degrees farenheight on our way to work. I added the picture above and can't change the order. This picture is from the subway stop on our way to work. It is insteresting because the new and old are so mingled together (the old building right above).

This is an old Chapel called Stephensplats (spelling could be wrong). It was beautiful inside and out.

This is a street that we walked down on our way to dinner, they were so narrow, but all of them were lined with neat little shops.

This is a 300 year old building iwth a modern front on it, apparnetly now it is an apartment building. There were tons of beautiful old buildings around, many of them had huge doors, we assume for carriages at one point?!?

A street view.

We went to the Vienna International Center, were several world organizations are housed. This is a picture of the circle of flags from all of the collaborating countries.

A cool building.

A street view.

Another cool building, they were all over.

A statue of Mozart in the part that we walked through every morning.

Some buildings.

While Eddie joe's family was in town for the graduation today, we also celebrated Christmas with them. Jayden got a toy guitar from Grandpa Tony and Linda and a toy engine to work on. He also got several cars to play with. Grandma Vicki got him a remote control car and Auntie Amanda got him a drum set and a remote control spider (for his B-day).
